The original source for stretchdrone01. Aiff. Made back in 1980 on an octave/cat synthesizer and recorded to cassette. It's from a series of work tapes that i and my friend stephen mackay made under the "band" name late capitalism. The title for this one was "a five year contract with disney". We never did much with this material so feel free to use it as you see fit. Enjoy.

Every now and then i get on reaktor and jam out a load of abstract weirdness to cut up and be used or further processed, i am uploading some of the raw, continuous files for you to do the same. They tend to be kinda aggressive, but not always and not unusably so (in a commercial sense).

Passing locomotive class 1600 with freight cars amsterdam central station. Recorded using sony pcm10 with tascam st-1 external condenser microphone. Continuous movement of train through sheltered station after it initially slowed down and sped up after the locomotive was clear of the building. Some clipping of audio at midpoint.

While outputting a file of sound effects, i ended up with a severely corrupted file. Playback results include incessant shrieking and slight pitch alterations. To create more variety, i used a lowpass filter and long reverb.

One satisfying thunder crack, followed by it's rumbly aftermath, as well as a car passing on the street in the distance. There is no compression or eq applied, and the file has a high dynamic range, so for many applications you may need to use some dynamics processing to reduce the dynamic range. Recorded with spaced pair ksm141, in omni mode, no filters.

A 1khz wave, often used as an effect for a flatline, test pattern, censorship, etc. This one more for effect (such as a movie) than a test tone. There's a nice stereo effect to make it more exciting, made by producing it as a sine wave for the left channel and a triangle for the right. The sine wave is at a slightly lower volume to make the 1khz fundamental the same volume level in both channels.

Electronic descending tones, could be used for a game over or lost a life for a game, or perhaps for a digital signal for another kind of event in a game?. Alright, first off, i am a girl. So yeah, enzo amore has a rather low voice. I didn't want to alter the pitch on this in case anyone who wants to use it wants to do it themselves. I know i can do better, but i was tired. For those who don't know, enzo amore and big kass are a wwe tag team.

Sports bras are supposed to fit snugly, but not quite this snugly. Some makers are too cheap to use a good zipper, and this one is nylon. I think. If you don't want a wardrobe malfunction, don't buy too small, and avoid those that don't have a backup hook underneath. This one doesn't, nor can the zipper be trusted. And yeah it can certainly malfunction, if you run. Suits me. Love to run.

Includes the sounds of a class 458 juniper leaving the station and a class 450 arriving and leaving, with several announcements including one about future track maintenance.

I noticed one night my broken metallic glass screen door was making quite a ruckus in the wind. I grabbed my zoom h1 and a roll of duct tape and taped it to the interior portion of the door. I proceeded to record the semi-contact-mic results here in at 96 khz / 24 bit. Plenty of good stuff to pull from here, imo. Hope you can get some use out of this one. Enjoy.

Playing tabletennis on a nice sunny day at a playground in leipzig. The table is pretty old and made out of metal and concrete. The net is out of metal. Sometimes the ball hits it with a "pong". Recorded with a zoom h2 in 360-mode. Edited the mics pointing to the table a liitle louder and used very little noise reduction to reduce the wind noises a bit. Kids roaming around and the balls are flying! *sigh* i love those days.

I wanted to record some output from an experimental device and in the moment of pluggin it in it caused a hum noise mixture. It sounded nice for something percussive. The source of the sound originates in an apartment. I recorded the creaking noise of the front door with a zoom h4n. I didn't change effect as i wanted it to be used naturally as background noise and give special atmosphere, like in alfred hitchcock movies. I remarked this was a very clear, resourceful sound when going out from home: i heard it and suddenly thought that would be a good sound for the freesounders's community.

These are samples from the new korg electribe emx2 music production station not the best recording quality but some nice sounds anyway the weird naming is due to the autoslice function in renoise wich i used to separate the samples from a one shot recording.
