I needed the sound of a lion bounding into a circus trailer for a story i was recording. So i experimented hitting an empty wheelie bin with a broom.

Handclaps, recorded with xperia phone, and then denoised, normalised. These are dry samples with no effects, so you can process them to your liking.

I basically recorded myself hitting my keyboard in my studio and then sped up the recordings.

I grabbed a metal mallet (mini sledgehammer) and dropped in on cement in various ways. Lightly and a bit harder. Recorded into my ntg3 in a garage sectioned off. Recorded on oct 29 2012 at 96k/24bit with a rode ntg-3 into a zoom h4n. I was recording wind ambience as hurricane sandy was currently swirling around. Along this bike trail i found this wooden ramp. Upon standing on it i realized it moved! and better yet it made some pretty cool creaking sounds!.

A dark and dissonant hit on the very low piano keys. With a bit of eq to increase the low rumble and a lot of reverb. Not a real piano but a vst instrument. Suitable for e. G. Horror films and games. The versions (a) and (b) of each sound in this pack are the same notes but on different pianos with sligthly different settings. Post-processing: eq & reverb.
