This is from a library of sounds i call "pet sounds", after the plastic material pet that's mainly used for water bottles. This library contains various sounds/loops created by using waste plastic in an attempt to give this noxious material at least some useful purpose by acoustically "upcycling" it.

This was recorded in chicago suburb of highland park. What you are hearing is the sound of the streets during the middle of the day. This recording was taken with the person recording familiar with the area. After listening back, the person recording heard several new sounds that were unfamiliar.

Coffee at the cottage. Started a olympus ls-10 + cheap old sony microphone, then proceeded to load the auto-drip coffee machine with coffee grounds, 4 cups of water and hit the brew button. Then, took out the old toaster, put a leftover waffle from yesterday's breakfast in, and toasted while the coffee was brewing. Various sounds accompanied with this ritual. . . Coffee maker and toaster sounds. Unscrewing and replacing the top to the nutella jar. Squeaky old oak floors of this 90 year old house making noise while i walk around. Water running, old clock on the wall ticking etc.

Does freesound really need another recording of someone washing their dishes? maybe not, but this is a longer take i recorded for a film project - because when you're editing, it's frustrating to find a good recording that's not long enough!. Ambience in the park of schloss eggenberg. Standing at the small lake, the sound of crows digging in the grass, many different birds, ducks landing on water, a siren and even a peacock can be heard. A bell of a church and people in the background can also be heard.
