This sound is the sound of the door to my bathroom closing from the outside. To record this i used my sontronics stc-10 microphone, my audiobox interface and pro tools on my mac at 48khz, 24 bit. I recorded this sound to be used as foley for a door closing off screen in a student film. I uploaded as i thought it might come in useful to others.

Cowbell recorded both being shaken, as well as being struck with a pencil. Recorded using a blue yeti microphone at 16-bit 44100hz in adobe audition cs6. Used audition's noise removal tools to minimize audible background noise. While no others effects have been added, i would recommend using a hard limiter of around 10-20db for a fuller sounding bell. Created using tracktion waveform-10. I used 3 instances of the builtin synth subtractive, 1 was for the body of the snare the other 2 were the noise to try and replicate the wires of the snare, finally i used zynaddsubfx to create the transient. There was some eq applied to boost key frequencies in around 200hz and mastermix plugin to compress the audio.

I love being contrained by minimalistic restraints when improvising. I was enjoying hanstimm's machine sounds so , using only the loop function of this site, i made an improvisation using his 'machine' pack.
