11 minutes of ambient noise from a city: people chattering, pigeons and birds calling, traffic moving, dogs barking, buses taking off or squealing to a stop, etc. Taken from my apartment window in downtown seattle. Mic used: blue yeti (usb condenser, cardioid setting).

This is an editied version of acclivity's sound file, "30832_acclivity_summereveninginmygarden". His original file contains a barking dog, which depending on your usage, can deter from the intent of your project. Since acclivity's recording has excellent signal to noise ratio, and has captured some beautiful birdsong, i thought other people might be able to use this edited file with all the dog barking taken out.

I had a need for some burps in a project, and decided to burp loudly into the mic whenever the urge arose while i was narrating. Beer aided the process quite a bit. These were collected over the course of several stories. I've studiously avoided sniffing my pop-filter, for obvious reasons. Mic is a rode procaster. Not that i think it is necessarily the microphone of choice for belching. Feel free to use the sound for whatever purpose you like.

Recorded in kanawha state forest in west virginia on a dr70r with shotgun mic. Some clean up and noise reduction with rx8 in reaper. It's a small mountain creek but it's pretty prominent in the sound, i'm about 10 feet away. I also have a version where i bring down creek noise, check the profile.

Made using a logic x. Cant beat a good arpeggiator. I put this together for a cheesy action movie style entrance after the hero is presumed dead but makes a dramatic return with plenty of smoke and back lighting. Enjoy.

The sound of a bright march morning featuring cardinals, robins announcing their territory, and wrens. The temperature was right at 50 degrees with no wind. I made this recording with my marantz pmd661 using two samson co-2 microphones. , pointed 180 degrees apart to gather as much sound as i could. The sound was sometimes a cacophony as it seemed all of the neighborhood birds were so happy that spring is finally here, many times they were all singing at once. !.

The doorbell in my apartment is so loud and obnoxious i decided to share my pain with the rest of the world, lol. In all seriousness, hopefully someone finds it useful for their production. The first sample is the purest, with the last two i *attempted* some dampening, but the difference is really inaudible. Recorded with zoom h6 (xy capsule), minimal processing done (loudness normalization, slight panning rebalance, hi-pass @ 40hz).

It was time to mow the lawn, and it was a beautiful day for mowing. 80 degrees and sunny. Not much breeze at all. For the production: i took the zoom h1 out and set it by the porch about 2 feet up off the ground. Recorded at 96k 24bit. The low cut and agc were disabled. Once recorded, i finished it off with a small amount of airwindows "air" with the 22k tap opened all the way up. For the mower: i used a 21 inch 140 cc "550ex" series briggs & stratton gas walk behind push mower. When i finished mowing my yard, i approached the recorder up to about 2 feet, then i cut the engine. I start it again and let it idle in close proximity for about 8 seconds, still at a distance of about 2 feet, then cut the engine one last time. I'm sure this could potentially come in handy for those outdoor scenes where you could use some distant neighborhood activity or a close-up start/stop. Enjoy!.

lost in the cave is a short and suspense bit of music i made in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. I get this feeling that you're in a dark gigantic cave and you can't find your way out. It's built on an easy structure on synth coming in and out and in between there are spooky tones to build up the tension. Could be perfect for an intro, outro, something spooky and cool, suspence, sci-fi, futuristic, mysterious or whatever you feel like. . . . Let the imagination run wild. Feel free to use it as you like as long as you subscribe to and watch my channel! if you wanna use it in your music and gonna release it, ask me first. . A very mellow and ambient music loop. Completely seamless. It has a horrid start because of the whole seamless loop stuff, please read further down. . . The piano piece is one of orangefreesounds' many beautiful looping piano melodies. I added some effects and an ambient mellotron using the free, but stunning redtron se vst instrument, which uses recorded samples of a real mellotron. Highly recommended if you are looking for an authentic mellotron sound. . . Please excuse the rough start, the reason why it sounds so weird is because it is a prefect loop, that means that everything, including all the effects, loops perfectly. What you hear in the very start is the reverb and delay effects from the end carrying over to the start. It will sound completely seamless once looped!. . It might not sound good as a preview, so i recommend to download and listen to it on your own device, as the website has a bad habit of compressing and adding a bunch of annoying squeaking sounds to the audio. .

Here it is! my first ever submission on freesound! i decided to start this all out with a bang, and post something really cool that i'm proud of making. I'm not sure exactly what this creature was supposed to be. I'll leave that up to your imaginations. How it was made:. Software: fl studio 20. Plugin(s): serum, valhallaroom, ott, fruity parametric eq 2, and fruity delay 2. This was made completely with synthesizers. I used serum for the main synth, made copies of it, and modified each of them to sound unique from the other. I'd try to explain how the synth was made, but there's a lot of stuff. To process it, i used ott to make it sound more powerful and clear, eq to get the frequencies and texture right, delay with a low pass filter to get that outdoors echo feel, and valhalla room for the reverb. I had fun making these. Enjoy!.

Ostensibly, this is supposed to be a cleaned-up version of the famous radio transmissions recorded by the judica-cordiglia brothers in november of 1963, in which it appears that a female russian cosmonaut perished during a botched atmospheric reentry. What it actually is, is a combination of background sounds and a static-edited recording of a female vocalist (stellarcricket), featured in one of my completed audio projects. (if anyone finds a use for this transmission recording, please do let me know how it was used! i'm curious to see what others can do with it!). The background sounds were adapted from the following freesound creator samples:. "quindar tone" by jotliner (https://freesound. Org/s/200813/)licensed under cc0 1. 0. "transmission error (loop)" by julius_galla (https://freesound. Org/s/331337/)licensed under cc0 1. 0. "horror ambient factory #2. Mp3" by shortrecord (https://freesound. Org/s/516895/) licensed under cc0 1. 0.

Airplane, atr 72 (at72) flying by towards airfield at 300 m altitude. Atr 72 is a plane much like the dh8d, a twin engined propeller plane. Recorded at a quiet location (maybe only some birds). Observing point: 300 m from the side of the flying route (one has to look up about 45 degrees for the plane). Speed: about 250 to 280 km/h. This is the recording as it is, recorded with zoom h2n music-capable voicerecorder. The mode of the voicerecorder was just the good old ordinary left-right stereo recording (xy) not such things as mid-side or 4 channel etc. No compression used. I may have edited out some sudden bird sounds or beeps from the camera but that's of negigible influence on the sound. There is a slight hiss from a row of trees in the distance. Feel free to use. If you're happy with the recording, it only adds to the fun i already had of it.

It's coming closer (run!) is made in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. I started off with the drumbeat i made and things grew from there. Found this spooky eerie sound with a lot of reverb and also a screwed up clock-sound. I wrapped things up with a line in a retro bass-sound. This is a version of a previous file i created (https://freesound. Org/people/funwithsound/sounds/394897/)that includes a gong at the end to make it more dramatic. The link to the gong sound is here: https://freesound. Org/people/veiler/sounds/209917/. It would be really nice of you to credit the user "veiler" for their awesome gong sound, and maybe me for making the failure sound. But no obligations. :-). While perusing freesound for a nice and dramatic sound or two of failures, all the ones i've seen were pretty wimpy, so-to-speak. So i decided to create a few failure samples on a music-making program called musescore. These are for big whopper failures (or "epic failures") and are very dramatic - they may also be used for a scary event in a film or play. It includes a short buildup and a loud dissonant chord at the end to create suspense and horror. For this project i used violins, violas, cellos, double basses, timpani, cymbals and brass. Enjoy!.

This sound was recorded via the use of a behringer b2 microphone, fostex fr2 and a home made parabolic reflector made from a tv satellite dish. The source of the sound was between 100m-200m away from the microphone. This has been eq'ed with high-end shelving to reduce gain noise, low-end shelved up to 1khz (to reduce wind and background noise) and the overall gain has been increased. The bird sound on the recording, is a bird called a "nightjar" which is a nocturnal bird. If you are interested in the build of the reflector itself, i have documented it here: https://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=jyssecw1qf0. This sound is also available to listen to on my soundcloud: https://soundcloud. Com/jonmacmusicproduction. If you use my sound in any productions could you please put a link to my free sound, sound cloud or youtube channel so it can reach others!. Thanks for listening and downloading.

I recorded the last part of my travel to work, the first day after my vacation. Inside the train my recording equipment (soundman digital recorder dr2) generates a lot of digital noise – more than usual. Interesting. Therefore i upload from when the commuter train stops at gothenburg central station and the doors open and i walk away from the station. The digital noise is there all the time but just less audible. In the beginning of the sound file you hear the noise clearly. Don’t buy this little recorder… (it has a sigmatel recording chip. ). In the frequency analysis, and spectral view, i notice peaks at about 800 - 950hz, 7850 - 8350hz and 16100-16450hz. I guess this is part of the digital noise. Tried to eq this away with spectral edit. This did not improve the sound. The noise has a wider spectrum. Tried to download the “latest” firmware at www. Soundman. De. Had to open command prompt and use unzip to extract the files. What?! but the firmware downloader does not detect the “device”. I doubt there is a new firmware anyway. The year for this recording, according to the recorder, is 2002…. The recording starts about 07:50 monday, august 07, 2017. I took 2 seconds from the beginning of this file and used paulstretch. Resulting in a 20second digital noise drone, “dr2 digital noise”,https://freesound. Org/people/gis_sweden/sounds/399075/had a thought that i could use a file like this to cancel out these frequencies from the other file with an inverted digital noise file… but i cant invert frequencies – off course :-d.

An atmosphere i created for someone that makes it possible for me to create these sounds from my heart. I am uploading it here for others to use, as well as give her a means to hear my fractal sounds coming from the depths of my being, for this internet complex has a lot of services - one of them lacking in the music department. This internet needs more ways to exchange music with others. That said, enjoy. Made in fl10.

Sound 4/4, the highest note - thus white, of my epic ambience pack. Created in audacity by recording 4 strings of a violine, slowing down tempo, boosting bass frequencies with an equalizer and finally paulstretch. Silence has been truncated and endings are faded. Same as yesterday, but i've added the sound when the huge vehicle extends its two enormous landing gears. For getting the feeling of megapower when whole village shakes you need a speaker system that can generate at least 100 watts at as low as 10 hz. I have a 800 watt sub which i can only use when cats and wife aren't in the house.

Glass beer bottle blow sounding like the background "whoo" effect in the movies alien and blade runner. Mono. Old school spot effect. Helmholtz resonance using a partially-filled (for pitch tuning) glass beer bottle. The resulting tone was sampled, bandpass filtered, pitch bent and laid over a copy of the original sample. Reverb added post-effect to push the sound back and smooth out some nasty quantizing artefacts caused by the pitch bender.

Short stabs on a scale c,d,e. . . To. . G,a,b. Fm synthesis. One sinewave oscillator output gets mashed by a another that's outputting a triangular wav. The oscillators are fed back into themselves and each other and 40 voices unison added to create a ubiquitous growl/yoy sound. On large speakers, or a decent pair of buds, the sinewave osc fundmental can be heard as sub-bass. Flstudio was used to host the synthmaker vsti oscillators and render the wav file.

Inspired by ben croshaw's point 'n' click horror adventure games, i decided i'd try and see if i can make my own creepy whispers using audacity. This is basically some whispered lines and some really low-volume screams superimposed on one another, with some of these lines reversed. I made this on march 2012 and was recorded on my netbook's slightly damaged built-in mic.
