Representational approaches to field recording are bullshit. On another day i will explain why i feel this to be the case. But it centers around a critique of the distinction between representation/reality, along with a critique of the concept of mediation. Mechanical openings, heartfelt wanderings was recorded with a tascam dr100mkii and a rode shotgun mic. One sound taken from the 'microblocks, vol. 1' percussive found sound sample-pack. This sound was created in audition by using three sample tracks with altered pitches for the sound of the timer countdown. I used an altered 8 bit sample for the explosion, bringing out the low range and lowering the high range with a 30 band compressor.

This pack contains some samples inspired by the ones that was used in lil pump’s "gucci gang" that was produced by bighead.
