I tried to mock the sound of spinning the chamber of a revolver for a game. Didn´t find anything that fit my needs so i tried to produce one on my own. It´s a ratchet, spun once and played with about 150% speed. No attribution needed, all rights waived - just send me a message if and how you use this sound!.

Well. . . I have done some trance stuff to use in songs. . . If there's any need for them. . . I hope you people like them, i'm making more all the time. A recording made near monument creek. I needed to block wind noise and so there are strange fluctuations with the eq, although maybe this is a feature and not a bug for someone out there. I walked away from the rapids until i was about twenty feet away. At one point, a helicopter passed over, and you may hear a motorcycle ride by.

Thunder and rain, street-facing view from the 2nd floor apartment. Two great thunder cracks in this one!. Recorded on june 08, 2021 from the second floor window of an nyc apartment building. This recording was made with the on-board x-y microphone of a zoom h4n pro recording device.

This recording was made with an iphone 4s fitted with a tascam condenser stereo microphone in an asian restaurant in bern. We hear the sound of the restaurant with people eating and chatting while the open kitchen is busy washing and preparing dishes. One of the bus boys is singing to himself, which can be heard dimly and at some point a bell strikes a few times.

This is one of the first sound i have recorded. It is recorded out of the window of a driving car, traffic sounds nearby. Recorded with tascam dr 40 and a windshield. Recording of a button sound from a vintage teac hi-fi stereo amplifier. Recorded and processed at 24bit 96khz using the tascam dr-40 linear pcm recorder. Processing: gain-staging and soft high and low frequency filtering. No eq boost or cuts anywhere else. Also de-noised.

One of a series of heavily processed sounds of me ripping various objects off a sticky surface. I ran the original recordings through s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin from twisted tools, using the granular synthesis features to generate a range of distorted, robotic tones.

While i was recording someone sharpening a garden scrape on a dual stone grinding machine, the utensil got stuck between one of the stones and a metal protective bracket, creating a terrifying noise until the motor gives up. A field-recording taken at a local animal park (germany). It was an early morning in spring and there were hardly any people there yet. The area, where we sat down, was surrounded by trees. Numerous birds were chirping and crows were cawing. A few farm animals like sheep can be heard in the recording at times as well as a one of the caretakers starting a vehicle in the distance.

Very seletive recording of a birdsong early in the morning on the begining of april. The city ambience was heavily processed, so when the car appears it sounds quirky. Clean sounds of twistling a 3/4 full dark chocolate bar (200 grams in full) in it's plastic wraps. Lastly there is a pure snap of one choco piece in half, which is just awesome. The chocolate is moderately thick (approx 1 cm) and it is originally meant for baking.

This is a snippet of a lesson i had with my incredible undergrad professor where we talk about a piece i was writing for bowed piano ensemble. He was incredibly influential on my creative process and as students we would regularly use his voice in electronic pieces by stealth recording his lectures. It only felt right to use one of these snippets for this project since it brings back so many great memories.

Originally contributed by freesound user juskiddink, this series of two blasts on a finnish birch bark horn has been shortened and tightened for use as a ring tone. It's a long, organic and haunting two-tone call echoing in the forest night; a clear alternative to the mechanical and tightly musical ringtones out there, and one i like a lot. Edited to wrap nicely for a continuing repeat.

The original source for stretchdrone01. Aiff. Made back in 1980 on an octave/cat synthesizer and recorded to cassette. It's from a series of work tapes that i and my friend stephen mackay made under the "band" name late capitalism. The title for this one was "a five year contract with disney". There is no compression or eq applied, and the file has a high dynamic range, so for many applications you may need to use some dynamics processing to reduce the dynamic range. Recorded with spaced pair ksm141, in omni mode, no filters.

A 1khz wave, often used as an effect for a flatline, test pattern, censorship, etc. This one more for effect (such as a movie) than a test tone. There's a nice stereo effect to make it more exciting, made by producing it as a sine wave for the left channel and a triangle for the right. The sine wave is at a slightly lower volume to make the 1khz fundamental the same volume level in both channels.

I whipped up this wacky reinterpretation of the twilight zone intro while doing a sound design concept. This was made using "caustic" an android music creation app by single cell software on my htc one. Http://www. Singlecellsoftware. Com/caustic. I used a default piano synth, played around by ear and applied aparametric equalizer effect. I'm not much of a musician but it turned out alright! :).

These are samples from the new korg electribe emx2 music production station not the best recording quality but some nice sounds anyway the weird naming is due to the autoslice function in renoise wich i used to separate the samples from a one shot recording.

This is my second "stonerscape" that i've uploaded, the first being "creep jam". This atmosphere gives off a dark and brooding feel, my interpretation of what one may experience in a deep, suspended animation state. Get yourself properly prepared (if legal in your area), use good quality headphones, and relax in a comfortable, laid back position in a darkened room.
