This is an old gramophone with a 78rpm vinyl-record. The sounds include the winding-up, the placement of the needle, crackle-noise and other surface sounds of the vinyl, lifted-up needle and the sound of the vinyl record-player stopping. Recorded in stereo on a zoom h4 handheld recorder.

A selection of custom made choirs, orchestral takes, drones and other scary noises. All sampled from old vinyl, spitfire albion series, spectrasonics omnisphere 2. 5, native instruments kontakt libraries. Spliced into a reel for the wonderful make noise soundhack morphagene.

This series is done through layering and processing many samples of drum sounds i synthesised using various plugins namely xoxo's vst's and zynaddsubfx mixed with some old hardware samples i made a long time ago. Insects (i think mostly crickets) make this noise. It sounds so. . . Infernal!, or futuristic (electronic for sure). I recorded this (with my old zoom ii recorder) one summer night in tlacotlapan, at the southern mexican state of veracruz. All this happened for hours inside my hotel room. So you can imagine what kind of night i have. Wonderful memories.

Defibrillator charging and then discharging. I created this for a video i am working on. I searched but was unable to find what i was looking for, so i created this sound using a combination of an old camera flash charging and a thump which was created by slapping a foam pad. The sounds were combined and edited using audacity. The sounds were recorded on an olympus pcs recorder.

The old flour mill at woodbridge in suffolk, england is powered by water from a tidal pond, which refills at every high tide. It is one of only two in the country. An ambient track for a horror game or clip that i made for a project i'm working on. Let me know what you think of it. The sound was made from various vst's in fl studio about a month back. I just sequenced out a melody i vaguely remembered from an old horror game and improvised from there. You're allowed to do whatever you want with it.

This is the closest i could get to the ambient sound of a borg cube. I tried hard to replicate it and this is the end result. Originally recorded on an old zoom h2.

A field recording at a demolition site on the ne corner of pacific & bloor in toronto's high park neighbourhood. The daniels corporation is erecting a controversial 14-storey condo building on the site. The recording captures the crunches of the demolition equipment tearing out the roof joists of one of the old buildings. Roland r05 sound recorder with sennheiser mke 400 stereo microphone.
