Field recording made in boston's city hall plaza, summer 2005. Lots of miscellaneous crowd noise can be heard: footsteps, random chatter, and so on. There is also some construction being done nearby, so the noise of construction machinery backing up is also prominent at certain parts.

A recording of a group of people walking through a brushy field on a late august afternoon in southern illinois. Note the constant insect chorus that is constantly washing over their steps. I made this recording using my handy zoom, h-4n recorder with the built-in internal microphones. Enjoy.

This is a looping sound effect. Timing got screwy while making it so i dont have a bpm or even a time sig. Made it with an old yamaha synth and a mac. Makes me kind of nervlous when i lissen to it so it might work good whe you wanna confuze somebody or make them cautious.

I accidentally made this in audacity adjusting the tempo of a chime sound effect, but maybe it has uses elsewhere. Sounds to me like a game show "wrong answer" sound effect or a magic spell that fails to cast.

Three high quality foley sounds of a low pitched echoing drum for suspense. For those who have played the game slender man, they just might ring a bell. These were made by using a sample of a drum and adding heavy low pass and adobe soundbooth's echo and dream sequence effect.

A short clip of of a screaming electric guitar lick i made on my 1982 gibson les paul custom with marshall amp. It was recorded on a multi track music program, i then added chorus effect, the microphone was hooked directly to the desktop computer with reverb from a 50 watt marshall amp. This lick was played by me on my guitar.

The result of a blending of a couple different sounds in figure53's qlab program made to sound like a violent needle rip on a record. Beefier than the common 'zipper' sound.

Sound i made using a whale mating call, otter squealing, plastic bag as rain, and buses outside of my class. Tried to make a blade runner type vehicle taking off and i also tried to create some ambience to go along with the moody blade runner type of style i was going for.

This sound file contains basic movement of a bottle of acetaminophen (29 pills contained inside). The movements i made are based on the everyday use of the pills. The reason these pills are specifically called acetaminophen is because all pills make a specific sound including the amount stored inside.

Nearly three minutes of blackbird song. This file has been condensed (the time between song phrases is shorter than the natural interval). I have made every attempt to screen out other background noise (including painstakingly removing the song of most other birds) recorded in la drova (spain) and so this bird will have a spanish accent!.

This is the first of two excerpts from a field recording of wind chimes hanging from the front porch of my home in south central tennesee. A zoom h1n recorder was placed below the wind chimes and set to record in wav format. The high-pass filter in audacity was used to reduce wind noise. The recording was made in march of 2021.

Several sounds combined to approximate the sound of someone getting smacked with the butt of a pistol. Whip crack with a metallic clank and a wet crack as it hits bone/flesh. Simulated by layering a whip crack, a punch, a metal clatter, and a squish made from stirring pasta in.

sigil reel 2: percussion. Created by nathan moody, formatted for use in the make noise soundhack morphagene. This is one of two morphagene reels made from one-of-a-kind handmade electro-acoustic instruments and found objects created by sound designer and musician nathan moody, an outgrowth of his 2018 album, "the right side of mystery. ". This reel is focused on percussive, inharmonic content from found objects and one-of-a-kind handmade instruments including metal table tops, perforated steel gongs, stretched springs, steel tubes, a drum made from packing tape, shakers made of tin cat food lids, and much more. They were struck with rubber mallets, carbon fiber rods, drumsticks, and woolen tympani mallets. They were recorded with a variety of microphones (sennheiser mkh50, dpa 4061, audio-technica at4050, shure sm57 and beta 52a), through awtac channel amplifier and neve 511 preamps. The hits are gritty, raw, and harmonically complex often with long decays, holding up well to varispeed manipulation, decay-tail looping, and filtering. For more information about nathan moody and the sounds and instruments used on this reel, visit nathanmoody. Bandcamp. Com and music. Noisejockey. Net.

echoes from an age of misery is made in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. I wanted something massive and huge sounding with a certain groove and swag to it. But instead of going straight to the fat bass / big drums-part i made a quiet little intro before it kicks off. I made the drums with both sampled drums and a drum-machine to make it big. And i use 3 different basses. For a little extra spice i put some strings and stuff on it. Would fit anything big, dramatic and scary!!!. Could be perfect for an intro, outro, something spooky and cool, mysterious or whatever you feel like. . . . Let the imagination run wild. Feel free to use it as you like as long as you subscribe to and watch my channel! if you wanna use it in your music and gonna release it, ask me first. Don't wanna see my music copyrighted by someone else of course. Be cool watch and subscribe to victors crypt:https://www. Youtube. Com/channel/uca8o46_wrqzehsdzuwfq3rq. S/o to craigsmith!. Leo, the lion. This lion roar gave me a hollywood / scarface feeling - and this lion roar actually happens to be straight from hollywood!. I searched and dug for some time - until i found this useful sound:. * "g12-47-lions roaring. Wav" by craigsmith (licensed under the creative commons 0 license!) This stereo recording was made on november 23, 2014 in grays harbor washington during a rare thunderstorm. The clip contains rain falling on a wooden deck and recurring peals of thunder both near and far. This original recording was made using a zoom h-6 handy recorder with zoom stereo xy microphone. The track was edited in audacity 2. 0. 6 to remove a few artifacts. Total run time for this wav file is: 8:29. This is my first upload. I am hearing impaired and new to field audio recording. I am fascinated by this art form and hearing sounds that i haven’t been able to hear in twenty years. I would greatly appreciate your feedback on the quality of my work and, if you choose to use this in a project, the end use you have in mind.

This sample is part of the icefield-library. I used a pair of soundman okm2 mics as contact microphones which i fixed to the surface of a frozen lake, then recorded the sounds made by throwing or skimming several stones and pebbles across the ice. Wonderful effects can also be achieved by filtering or timestretching the files.

Audio of a dragoon pistol being cocked. It was probably an italian copy of an american-made unit. May require some trimming and buffing. I think i recorded this with an akg perception 200 using cool edit -- and i did it to get my room-mate to leave (after we recorded the sounds of several of his guns and a sword. . . ).

Crickets chirping at night behind my apartment balcony in tokyo. You can hear my neighbor's air conditioner droning in the background. There is some weird freak burping and talking in the middle of the recording. This is a stereo recording made with 2 coincidental mics at 120゜angles.

Couldn't find what i wanted on here so i made something. Small little chuckle detuned and heavy reverb. Not over the top, not cheesy. Just a simply horror themed chuckle. Credit would be nice. I would love to see where this gets used. But not necessary.

An odd sound: i set pocket recorder out hoping to capture some birdsong; a raven swooped down and made a couple of passes above it. Perhaps he was attracted by the colorful fuzzy windscreen? at any rate: recorded on an olympus ls-14, some wind in the trees in the background.
