Recorded using a pair of rode lavalier microphones from a loft window. The hail stones were hitting the metal flashing (i think that it what it is called) around the window. I needed a sound effect of a body being thrown into a river for a play. This is a recording of me falling backwards into a pool. Splash_1 is a little louder, and there is some clipping. Splash_2 is a bit longer. Recorded using internal mics of a zoom h2n.

Me hitting some firewood with a metal fireplace poker. Recorded using a fostex fr2-le field recorder and an mxl 990 condensor microphone.

This was recorded with an h6 zoom recorder in zita park. I did this by dropping batteries on a metal covering, figured it could be used as some sort of impact sound.

The "just the room mic" could be especially fun to nuke, mangle and/or distort. I performed and recorded all of these samples in my studio. So slice & dice, hack & slash, scoop & loop, smash & bash. Hitting a hard drive with a pizza cutter recorded with dr-05 96000 hz sample ratein the kitchen it was a seagate 250gb 7200 rpm 3,5 inch harddrive with sata.

Supposed to be a knife thrust and stuck into a wall, but could as well be a sword hitting a wooden table or anything else.

A sound i thought i could hear in my mind and i thought i might be able to find, but decided to go out and create this one. We went out and literally hit metal rulers against a metal staircase handrail, and then went into audacity and reverberated a copy underneath the sound, and tweaked it a bit to add the lasting effect.

The sound of some hollow geode halves colliding and scrapingslightly edited to reduce background noise.

This is a cc0 sound, based on (at time of download) cc0 parrot ar drone 2. 0 take off, flight and landing. This is a flac file. It is lossless like wav but compressed like ogg/mp3. Use audacity or fre:ac to convert quickly to mp3/wav/ogg.
