Recorded in january 2011 waiting for the shinkansen (bullet train) to tokyo at koriyama station in fukushima, japan. Recorded with a zoom h2 in 2-channel surround mode, with a windshield. File has not been modified, just cut short from a longer recording. There are two shinkansen in the recording: one arrives and leaves at the adjacent platform, and one arrives on the immediate platform.

For the technically minded, the voice is modulating a 110Hz en:sawtooth wave, which is the note A two octaves below en:A440. There is also some en:reverberation and phasing added. Used audacity's noise removal filter to to remove background noise. For this file, i isolated the samples i liked and left a small gap of silence between them for separation later. Attribution appreciated but not required.

Voices can be heard in the far distance, along with the rythmic ticking of the hydraulically powered art-installation "heart of a mountain". This file is part of the sample-pack "muzeum"recording was conducted with a zoom h2 with the internal mics set to 90° dispersion.
