An Edison "Perfected" Phonograph cylinder recording of The Lost Chord (composed 1877) by Arthur Sullivan (1842-1900), played on piano and cornet. One of the earliest surviving recordings of music; was played at the press conference that introduced the phonograph to London on August 14 1888. Cuts off slightly before the ending of the song. The recorded version is somewhat abridged (a middle section has been cut, possibly due to time constraints). Overall a well-preserved example of wax cylinder recording technology. Length: 2:07

A file i made by recording myself playing two chords on a piano. Great for replacing window's sounds.

I found this in my files so i was like i want to upload this so there you go.

There in my files was the sound of a metal lid being placed back on a jar. This one was a recycled jelly jar in which i keep cotton balls.

A short sample from an adaptation of a midi file called woodland theme by ethan harris. Arranged and adapted by myself. Original score by ethan harris.

I am after audacity advice on how to clean up background noise from this kind of file. So i will probably embed this sound in a forum someplace.
