This long recording was taken aboard the odoriko super view train from ito city bound for atami. You can hear the conductor's announcements, station arrivals and departures, passenger conversations (in japanese) and, of course, the train itself. The recording is unprocessed and made with a stereo mic pair at a 90 degree incidental angle.

A classic deep woods, summer soundscate. The insects' droning seems to slow everything down as the high tempuratures bake the land. Every now and then you'll hear some bird calls in this recording. Towards the end, the insects temporarily stop and a goldfinch answers with his/her own call.

A stereo recording made at 4:50pm on saturday september 12th 2015 of the ambience of a small town near a playground. Up until this day, the weather here in the midwest had been your typical high-heat high-humidity. But, the day before this field-recording was made the wonderful jet-stream had dropped down on us, a cool, mass of less-humid canadian air, making the leaves sing through the trees with the lifting of the northwest breezes. Recording made around 9pm at night on august 1st, 2014 in a small midwestern town. The chorus of cicadas and tree frogs is very steady on this one.
