My great-uncle and great-aunt have an old grandfather clock. It doesn't quite work right and only chimes 7 times at 12 o'clock, so i had to record it at 11 and add another chime. Nonetheless, it makes for a great ambient sound, especially in a horror setting. I recorded it with my tablet (samsung galaxy tab a) and edited it with audacity (added in an extra chime, converted it to stereo, etc. ).

A tense but pretty still athmosphere created with a number of tools by me. Got some subtle movement in it and consists of several major parts. This one has a very vocal blackbird finishing off the evening (8pm). All recorded whilst staying in a converted barn in rhos, wales. Recorded on my zoom h4n, there maybe some wind noise in places and maybe a very high flying jet, but mostly it is just the sound of nature. There is a nearby stream in the background too. These sounds were created from xpand!'s sitar sound font and musescore's clave sound font. They were used in an ambient track simulating the sounds of exploring an ancient egyptian tomb. This could be used as a transition, when discovering treasure or a secret passage, or any number of events that need an egyptian or middle-eastern flavor. This is pink noise, made with audacity program. I decided to record this in a stereo track and i made this noise for 74 minutes long. The effects i chosen for this sound are fade in and fade out only, with the amplitude of pink noise sets to default settings. You can use this sound for your relaxation session, or if you have problems with tinnitus. For a best experience, you can use headphones. Enjoy it, it's my first sound i created.

I don't have a modular system to speak of but after watching some of divkids videos i realised my xiao could sound really nice in an ambient eurorack setup. Anyway, here's a few improv sections on my flute, only been playing 4 weeks so pardon the few bum notes. Make of it what you will but would love to hear what people come up with. I only use a triple osc and i took an advantage of the several asio bugs of my soundcard. I don't mix the sound. I've re-recorded that shape 17 times, after that, i applied massive echo and reverb filters. 3 osc, echo, reverb, compressor. For this record, i've deleted the major part of the notes. Some new settings of the echo filter, are applied.

Simple patch. Two oscillators, ring modulation, lfos, vcas and digital effects. No spring reverb this time. Important module is the clock divider. The oscillators where tuned to the same tone one octave apart. Well. . . Not exactly. After having recorded i measured the frequencies 228,8 hz and 117,7 hz. . . But that made the output from the ring modulator interesting. What is generative with this? i modulate amplitude of the sounds and the decay for all thee sounds. This also affects the rhythm sound.

Recording of a stone mill wheel grinding dry corn for flour. It's in a little stone outhouse, a generator outside powers a belt driven stone wheel. The recording changes in perspective and cycles from the lower part (a wooden crate to receive the milled flour) to the upper element (a large plastic funnel in which the dried corn grains are tipped) and then back down again. 48k/16 bitrecorded in 2010.

When i recorded the pump is in operation, you may hear the rhythmic sound of the handle being moved up and down, as well as the sound of water being sucked up from the ground and pushed up through the riser pipe and in addition to the sounds of the pump itself, you may also hear other ambient sounds in the village, such as the chatter of people going about their daily activities, the sounds of animals.

At first a few chickens wander close to the microphone, your hear doves and a lot of blackbirds singing to each other. After a few minutes the chickens prepare for the night.
