Outside my house recording of a helicopter that was circling overhead; not directly, but at an oblique angle - maybe a mile away or so. You can hear some birds and other ambient neighborhood sounds as the helicopter circles overhead a few times.

Series of sounds produced by opening a window to a pattering rain: first the heavy wooden blinds being cranked open and lifted, then the metal latch being turned, the wood-frame window itself opened and its counterweight clanging in the wall, then the storm or screen window being lifted and popping into place.

A fire engine approaching, then slowly passing, then disappearing into the distance. This was in gallery place in washington, dc, during rush hour, so traffic was slow; thus, a longer than usual siren.

Free drone. Recorded using homemade contact microphones. The os-xx samples consist of different recordings of fans, fridges, espressomachines, etc. The sounds are pretty raw, i added reverb, and cut some sub. I can, on request hand out the raw recordings. Enjoy.

Note c. I recorded the ukulele on my phone, playing the note c on several strings. The recording was then reversed and treated with more reverb. Recording from the balcony of my air bnb in venice, italy. You can hear doors opening, people walking, dogs barking, seagulls, a plane goes by, a person with a limp walks by, speech in italian and other ambient sounds through a reverberant street. There are no cars to pollute the soundscape.
